In a new partnership Game4Padel has teamed up with Active Away, the sports holiday business backed by Dragons’ Den investor Peter Jones.
Active Away will take on the running of padel holidays and short breaks to Game4Padel’s flagship padel venue at Spanish resort Oliva Nova, organising both hosted group trips and non-hosted trips (taking bookings now for next summer).
Hosted trips are managed by an Active Away representative who is on site to welcome groups and arrange activities and meals, and to handle logistics including travel, padel coaching and booking court time. Non-hosted trips can be also be booked through Active Away, with court time and coaching arranged prior to departure.
Established in 2006, Active Away unites people through a common interest and for over 15 years has hosted more than 8000 people on tennis holidays. The company appeared on Dragons’ Den in 2016 and received investment from Peter Jones after a successful pitch. Recently Active Away has been inundated with requests by its community for padel holidays.
Oliva Nova is a five-star coastal resort between Valencia and Alicante. Earlier this year, Game4Padel opened a seven-court padel centre, with floodlights and a show court, at the luxury destination adding to its existing golf, football, tennis and equestrian facilities. Game4Padel’s coaching partner, Padelmba operates at the padel centre, offering lessons and clinics with qualified coaches.
Speaking about the new partnership, Josh Thompson, MD of Active Away, said: “We are proud to be Game4Padel’s official travel partner. We have high standards when it comes to our partnerships and we were incredibly impressed with how professional, engaging and driven they are as a business, and how they build active padel communities. We are confident these new padel experiences will be exceptional and grow to be a significant part of our business going forward”.
